Welcome back from our 3 day weekend! Monday was the start of our parent teacher conferences! We were so impressed how it all turned out! Thursday will resume the rest of our conferences and book fair! Last month, we reached our goal of 600 Eagle Way Tickets! For the month of February, we've decided on earning 100 Eagle tickets, just in the lunch room! We want to see kids being Safe, Responsible, Respectful, and Being Kind! Picking up trash/food from the floor and table, staying in our seats the whole time, only raising our hands when need something, and staying at a level 2 voice the whole time. Last week, 3rd grade practiced what it should look and sound like during lunch!
We hope every student does their best to follow these lunch room procedures, and to earn Eagle Way tickets! Lets make it a GREAT 4 day week!

Happy Wednesday SBA families! It's finally February and that means we have another month to earn our Eagle Way Tickets! January's goal was to earn 600 tickets total! And guess what!? Our students have compleated the task with a whopping 692 Eagle Way slips! Congratulations, and tomorrow we will have a surprise for our students!

It's Monday! And another great week of learning! Guess what!?
🦅EAGLE WAY GOAL UPDATE🦅: WE DID IT!!! Last week 231 students were recognized for showing the EAGLE WAY. Our total for this month is now 691, which means we have met and exceeded our January goal of recognizing at least 600 students showing the EAGLE WAY! Way to go SBA EAGLES!!! Students showing the EAGLE WAY are showing great character. Later this week you will learn more about how we will celebrate meeting this goal! What an awesome way to start the week!!

Wow! What a great week of learning! We are always so excited to be able to teach every student each day, everyday! Here are a few things that has happend during this week. Boys Town came to film a few classrooms, we learned about Disagreeing Appropriately, and a bunch of students earned Eagle Way slips for being Respectful, Responsible, and always being Kind! Some of our 5th graders who partake in band, practice almost everyday, learning new notes and techniques in playing their instruments!

During this week of learning, we've had some special guests come to our school to film a few classrooms.
Boys Town, is a school-based intervention strategy that focuses on managing behavior, building relationships, and teaching social skills. Instead of reactive responses, it emphasizes preventive and proactive practices to deal with student behavior.
Susan B. Anthony will be able to use these videos, they've created for training purposes! It was very fun for the students to see all of the equipment used to film videos! Cameras, microphones, and lighting galore! It was such a sight to see!

WHY DO WE WANT TO USE THESE STEPS WHEN WE DISAGREE WITH OTHERS?
When we disagree using these steps,
You are more likely to be heard.
Your point of view is more likely to be considered/heard.
People may see you as more mature.
You will likely avoid negative outcomes like an argument.
Others may be more willing to negotiate with you.

Yesterday, our 4th and 5th grade students went on a fieldtrip to the Washington Pavillion! They got to witness the multimedia adventure "Call of the Wild". This classic story telling with projected Illustrations, tell the story of Buck.
Buck is a crossbred offspring of a St. Bernard and a Scottish Collie. He was kidnapped from his California home to work as a sled dog during the great Klondike Gold Rush!
We hoped all of our 4th and 5th grade enjoyed this experience!
Happy Wednesday, and National 'Winnie the Pooh' day!

Our favorite little red shirt, honey-loving bear was originally created in 1926?! That was around 96 years ago!! (Do you know anybody that was born in 1926?) Although there are many other sweet characters in the 'Winnie the Pooh' universe, Pooh Bear will alway be the fan favorite! 🍯 🐻 🐷 🐯
